IMPORTANT: Data Corruption Problem in HDF5

A data corruption problem has been found in HDF5 which can cause a loss
of metadata in certain situations.  This problem can occur any time many
objects are created within a group.

This problem has been fixed in the latest May snapshots available from:
 
     ftp://ftp.ncsa.uiuc.edu/HDF/pub/outgoing/hdf5/snapshots/


The hdf5-1.4.1-post* snapshots contain bug fixes to the current released 
software (hdf5-1.4.1).

The hdf5-1.5* snapshots contain the code that is under development.
This code is of interest primarily in research and development 
environments.
