HDF3.3r4 users:

The example programs in the User's Guide for HDF, version 3.3,
are now available in ASCII format on NCSA's anonymous ftp server
(ftp.ncsa.uiuc.edu, or hdf.ncsa.uiuc.edu).

These are located in:

   /HDF/examples/Users_Guide             <-  ftp.ncsa.uiuc.edu
   /pub/dist/HDF/examples/Users_Guide    <-  hdf.ncsa.uiuc.edu

You will find a README file in this directory, which explains how
to compile and link the examples.

In addition, the Fortran version of Example 4 in Chapter 4 (Vdatas)
has been corrected in the documentation (both in the .ps and .mif
format).  The change was also made to the ASCII example program,
vd_ex4.f.  This is documented in the README.CHANGES file in the
../examples/Users_Guide directory.  Please refer to the README.CHANGES
file for any future changes to the ASCII example programs.
